ADULTERY : WHY MORE WOMEN ARE GETTING INTO IT

An article I read, said that there is a rise in the number of women who go to "dating while married" sites after major holidays. Valentines Day and Mother's Day are likely to inspire women to sign up at these places. At these times, women feel justified in seeking extra-marital comfort because their husbands don't make them feel important and appreciated on these special days.

The reason for this trend, according to the article, is that women are most likely to be disappointed in the celebration of these holidays. Their husbands don't make an effort to make these days special. As a result, the women spend part of the next day looking for the greener grass they hope will be on the other side of the fence.

I'm not surprised at the disappointment women feel after these holidays. A lot of men don't know what is wanted from them, and their wives feel that the romance of a gesture is destroyed if they have to ask for it. There has always been a call for men and women who don't mind having a lover who is legally unavailable. It seems that the Internet has pandered to this odd niche market by providing dating sites for those who have already taken wedding vows.

For men who want to make these holidays special for their wives, flowers, or dinners out are usually welcome. Gifts are nice, too. However, the main reason these women are discouraged is that they feel unappreciated. It is that gnawing suspicion that their husbands don't even see them, let alone want to foster closeness. In short, they feel like they are alone in the marriage, and so they are justified in finding comfort elsewhere.

Wives, too, should be sensitive to the love and assurance they can give their husbands on special occasions. Valentines Day is a good opportunity for romantic gestures from both spouses. Father's Day is a time when he might enjoy knowing that he is recognized as more than a fixture in the living room. His birthday, too is an opportunity to connect and remind him that he is an important member of the family.

It is not easy to keep up a constant stream of novelty and excitement in any relationship. People do get used to each other, and lose track of the spark that started things between them. However, even when the fire isn't blazing, its glow can keep you warm if it is nurtured with fuel and attention. Spending money isn't what is important here. Time and care are usually what are needed.

Married couples tend to put their relationship at the bottom of their "to do" lists. As a result, all they have left for each other is whatever time and energy they haven't spent on work, kids, hobbies and outside activities. They don't give themselves time to just be with each other. Maybe it is not as satisfying to simply gaze into each other's eyes as it used to be, but it might be pleasant just to exchange information and just shoot the breeze together.

An extra marital fling is no way to work on a troubled marriage. Even the spouse you no longer love deserves your honesty, and the clean break necessary to help him start over again. However, humans are programmed to seek comfort and assurance, and where they get it isn't always the best choice.

A dating site that caters to married people fills a niche in the market place, just as porn or other socially questionable offerings do. Whether they are providing a good service is debatable. It seems sneaky to me to go on line for love, rather than trying to solve your problems at home. But, it isn't any worse than having an affair with someone you met in the bar down the street.

NO LAW PREVENTS ME FROM HAVING A ROMANTIC AFFAIRS WITH A POLICEWOMAN

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has said that there is no law that prevents him from marrying a serving female police officer.
He challenged the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau, who accused him of having an affair with a junior female colleague, to prove him otherwise.
Idris stated this in a written defence he presented through his lawyer, Dr. Alex Iziyon (SAN), to the Senate ad-hoc committee investigating the allegations against him by the senator.
SUNDAY PUNCH obtained a copy of the written defence, in which the allegations against the IG were  listed in six categories and responded to.
He specifically asked the senator to cite a section of the law that prevents him from having romantic relationship with a policewoman.
The police boss recalled that Misau’s father married the lawmaker’s mother while in service.
On the allegation that Idris was having affairs with two female officers who also got questionable promotions as a result, Iziyon said, “This allegation is laughable and showed lack of understanding of the provisions of the Police Act and regulation.”
The Inspector-General of Police challenged the senator to cite the section of the Police Act and Regulation which forbids a police officer from marrying another police officer.
He said, “Until he brings such section of the Police Act, it will amount to discussing the Inspector-General of Police’s private life, which ordinarily should not have been entertained on the floor of the Senate.
“It might be appropriate to remind the senator, whose mother retired from the police as an Inspector of Police and a father who retired from the police as an Assistant Inspector-General of Police, that the Inspector-General of Police is a Moslem and, according to Islamic Law, can marry four wives provided he can love them equally.
“The senator also alleged that the Inspector-General of Police is in a relationship with one Corporal Amina whom he claimed was promoted from the rank of Corporal to an Assistant Superintendent of Police within 12 months.
“This allegation is false and the senator is under obligation to give the full particulars of the female police (officer), where she is serving and her duty post. It is not possible to promote a corporal to the rank of an ASP except the officer has attended an in-service cadet course.”
The IG, who earlier declined the committee’s invitation due to pending court cases over the matter, appeared before the Senate panel on Wednesday, accompanied by Iziyon; and the Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang.

ANAMBRA ELECTION DEBATE

Tony Nwoye is very empty they should just give him some contracts and allow him continue with his philantrophy, one Rochas kind of individual is more than enough for our country!

Willie Obiano has tried as a first term governor but he must have realised after today's debate that Anambra deserves a better governor by 2018!

Obaze Ozeloka is top notch and spoke like an Excellency in waiting surely has insights on the issues appears prepared and exhibited confidence and capacity to lead the state.

Godwin Ezemo made a decent showing but Anambra has gone beyond candidates like him.

Osita Chidoka was in a class of how own, he showed a deeper understanding of the issues raised and properly addressed the issues like a governor that is on top of his game! Chidoka clearly represents the new era politicians we yearn for in our nation.

My money and support is on Chidoka for Governor and I particularly agree with his closing remark "APC has broken and divided divided us, APGA has failed us, PDP has lost its soul,  PPAs founder has abandoned the Party." Its time for the people to own the party and take over the government and Chidoka is here to show us its possible!

Friends in Anambra please come out on Nov 18th 2017 to cast your votes for Osita Chidoka and let's make it count!

POLICE BEAT UP SOLDIER IN DAMATURU

Policeman beat up Soldier at ATM queue in Damaturu.

A police officer on Friday, wounded a soldier during a fight at the automated teller machine (ATM) at a bank in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

DAILY POST gathered that trouble ensued when the soldier, who was in uniform came to make withdrawal, but did not want to follow the queue.

When people began to protest, the police officer, who was in mufti confronted the Soldier demanding that, he must follow queue like any other person.

The two began exchanging words until combat followed with both displaying their tactics.

The policeman over powered the soldier and gave him the beating of his life until someone called the attention of both the military and police authorities in Damaturu.

The 2 i/c Mopol in Damaturu came and picked their man, including the police officers who were on duty at the bank for interrogation.

Another senior military officer, who arrived the scene also picked the wounded soldier back to base for treatment and possible interrogation.

It could be recall that few months ago, there was a similar clash between soldiers and policemen that left many casualties in the end.
